The 2014 review.
December 2014, a time to look back. Time to remember what happened in the past twelve months. A time to look forward to 2015. A look at what made news. Who made made the news and what made celebrity news in the last twelve months. It has been a amazing year of 2014. The ebola virus has made the news this past year. Those who fought the virus while in Africa became the center stage during the last twelve months. How they beat the virus when they were infected also made headlines this past year. The events in places such as Ferguson, Missouri and other cities across the country made the news over the last year. What they protested about also made the headlines. Celebrities also made some of the headlines over the last twelve months. The people we lost such as Robin Williams, Joan Rivers, and Lauren Bacall. Bill Cosby continues to make headlines as 2014 comes to a close. Even those like George Clooney who just got married made the news this last year. As 2014 comes to an end, how this year has gone by so quickly. This past years has had some memories that will be remembered for years to come. As we close the book on 2014, hopefully 2015 will be better. So long 2014, may 2015 be a better year to all. So say goodbye to 2014 and hello to the year of 2015.

People we miss from entertainment.
It is sad to hear when some one we know from television or movies passes away. When the news comes over the air waves or in the newspaper, we feel a lot of sadness from their passing away. We may remember them from a certain television show. Even seeing them in a certain movie may bring a tear to our eyes. When the news came that Robin Williams passed away, we may have felt like crying a lot tears. He was a class act when it comes from his comedy antics. We remember him from the comedy show series "Mork and Mindy". He was also funny when he was being interview on talk shows like "The Tonight Show". His passing left a hole in our hearts for him. James Garner was another actor who had classic talent. He was known for the show "Maverick". "The Rockford Files" was another classic show when Garner played a private investigator. He was also known for doing movies and commercials. May we continue to watch these classics from him. There are others that have passed away this past year. Joan Rivers and others who have passed away this year hopefully have not been forgotten. May their work in movies and television continue to entertain us for years to come. May they also to be watch for generations to come.

Monday night football
It started in 1970. The program has been going on strong for forty-five years. What is the program? It is Monday Night Football. We have seen great games. There have been games that were not so great to watch. We have seen many great players on the field. There have been many who have called the game. All in all Monday Night Football has been a way to get the week off to a good start. We have heard people from Howard Cosell to Al Micheals. There have been people like Frank Gifford to John Madden. There have been many in between. We have heard them on ABC television network. Now we hear them on ESPN cable network. They have all brought in sight to the game of football in their own way. On the field, we have seen players from Joe Namath to Joe Montana. There were other players like Roger Staubach to Troy Aikman that has taken the field. There have been many other players that have played through out the years in front the cameras. You could watch them at home or at a sports bars in town. They have played for any of the thirty-two teams that have played on monday night. It has been forty-five years now. Over seven hundred games that have played. Old and new action shows
I like classic action shows. Then again there are newer shows that I can get hooked on Sure the action sequences are more action packed then when the older shows were on. But they have a style all their own. That is why the show are always a joy to watch over and over again. One of the classic shows is "The Dukes of Hazzard". The show is about two cousins, Bo and Luke, that fight to beat whatever plot that is devised by the man who own the county, Boss J.D. Hogg and the sheriff of the county, Rosco P. Coltrain. The stunts are car chases and jumps over river beds. But in the end, they all way beat the Boss and the Sheriff at their own game. One of the newer show that I really like is "C.S.I." The show is about how to solve a crime that has been committed. It has a cast of detectives who find dead bodies, find evidence that link the crime and how it was committed. The clues may be in a casino or in a back alley. They also find out who did the crimes and put them away at the the end of the episode. Whether you like the classics or the newer shows, they can make the evening relaxing. The plot lines may change from season to season, but the tempo remains the same. Whether the action is in a small town or in a big town it is always anyone wanting more. May the action shows continue to having people wanting more for years to come.

My two favorite sports.
There are many sports that happen year round. Only two sports are considered my favorite sports of all time. They are "Baseball" and "Football". Though they last only a few months a year, they are considered to me fun to watch. I only follow six of the teams in both football and baseball. If any of them make to the playoffs, I follow intently. If they lose in the playoffs, I don't follow them until the next season starts the following year. Baseball usually starts the regular season in April. The season usually ends at the end of August. Then the teams that have won their divisions, whether in the "AMERICAN" or "NATIONAL" league, they will go to the playoffs. If it is teams like Atlanta Braves or Colorado Rockies, I will follow them with much interest until their season is over. Football is an exciting sport. They can be watched on Sunday, Monday, or Thursday night. They play a sixteen week schedule. If any of the six teams I follow like "DENVER BRONCOS" or "PITTSBURGH STEELERS" make to the playoffs, I will follow them through out the playoffs. If any of them make it the "SUPER BOWL", it will be something interesting to watch. Baseball and football are exciting to watch. They only last a few months a year. They make the game enjoyable in the alotted time. Whether you watch it at the stadium or at home, you can cheer them on win on any given game they play, whether they play on home field or on the road. So may the best win.

Cartoon favorites
There have been many cartoon shows on television for many years now. From action-adventure to humorous, cartoon shows have been a mainstay over the last fifty years or so. Some have been good verses evil. Others have been to entertain adults as well as children of all ages. Still others have been on to educate the public on various subjects like science. One of my favorites of all time is a band of superheroes called "The Superfriends". Even though the show has gone through many changes, the premise has stayed the same. The show main heroes have even stayed the same. The shows title has changed from "The Superfriends" to "Justice League". The show has heroes like Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. They have fought against villians, such as Lex Luthor, Groud the Gorilla, and Bizarro. The plot has always been to beat the heroes and to take over the world. But in the end it has always been the heroes have beaten the villians. Another of my favorites cartoons shows has been "Scooby-Doo". The show is about a group of teenagers and their famous pet dog. At first, they come across what seems to be a castle, an old boat, or a run down town. For most of the show, they will look for clues, such as foot prints or pieces of what looks like old fabric. They also discover what seems to be "Ghosts". In the end of the show, they find a way to catch the ghosts and to reveal who is behind the masks of the villians. Also they reveal the plot, like why they want to take over the town. Cartoon shows have been on for many years now. The formats of the shows have changed a lot over the years. The shows are now more computer generated then ever before. Hopefully the cartoon shows will continue to entertain adults and children alike. Even a new audience of family will enjoy the shows and the characters on the shows for years to come.

Summertime activities and vacations
As we go through this time of the year, there is many activities to go through in the summer time. Activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, and golf. Others include going on a trip to see other family members. Taking a vacation to get away from daily routines, is a good way to get refreshed. When planning for getaways, like vacations, plan ahead. What you want to take with you, like clothes, is key to make sure you have enough stuff to have with you. Having enough money with you is another factor on your trip. You may want to get souveneers to remember the time you spent on the trip. Having a camera and film is a good way to remember your trip to the destination you wanted to go and the places you saw while you were there. Going to the museum is another fun activity to enjoy during the summer months. The museum contains items like what happened in history, minerals like crystals found in underground caves. Learning about natives in other counties, is a good way to learn about what is going on in other regions on earth. Learning how they live, what homes they live in, and how they lives their lives. We all know that the vacations are short. It is always good to get away for short break. Planning an activity or a vacation, helps to refresh and get ready to return to the tasks at hand, like at home or at work. So enjoy and have fun with either the activity or vacation time. Take good pictures on the trip and enjoy the time away whatever you may be doing.

Superheroes on screen
Superheroes are big on the movie screen and the television now days. Heroes like Superman and Batman are attracting a lot of people to see what their favorite heroes are doing these days. Even those in teams are attracting big ratings on the big screen and on television. On the big screen, there has be recently "The Avengers", "Thor", and "Captain America" in the past year. This coming time of the year, movies like "Defenders of the Galaxy" and "The Amazing Spiderman 2" are ready to be released on the big screen. In the coming years, "Batman V. Superman" and "The Avengers 2" are getting ready to be released. On the small screen, there are other heroes shows. Shows like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and "Arrow" has impressed audiences of all ages the past year. Coming up this fall, shows like "The Flash" and "Gothom" are ready to make their debut on the television screen. Superheroes are here to stay. Even if they are on the big screen or on the small screen, they are attracting a lot of people to see what they are doing. Whether they are known heroes or up and coming ones, the shows will still be coming out. Even as long people are still watching them, they will still continue to save the day on the big screen or on the small screen for years to come.

My favorite classic television shows
I am one of those people who likes classic television shows. Even though you can find them on certain stations, like '' TV Land '', they can also be found on DVD in certain stores. They can also be found on local channels on certain nights, like on the weekends and certain times of the day. One of the classics I really like is a show called "M*A*S*H". The show is about doctors in Korea in the 1950's during the Korean war and how they dealt with not only each other, but with patients and the local inhabitance. The show lasted from 1973 till 1984. Today, it can still be found on certain stations, including certain cable channels. Another classic show I still like to watch is the classic show "Batman". The show stared Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin. Even though the show lasted only three years, the show didn't take itself seriously. It had a special, what I call charm all its own. The show pitted Batman and Robin against villians such as The Joker, The Riddler, and Catwoman. The first two season, the show was seen two nights a week. Then in the third season, the show was seen on only on night a week. A classic that is to this day that is still a favorite of mine is "Barney Miller". The show is set in New York City. It is about a group of detectives at the 12th precinct. The detectives had to deal with certain people for seven seasons. Detectives like Wojo, a last name that was hard to spell, Harris, that seems to have fine taste in clothing, and Yemana, who is Japanese. Now days the show can be found on DVDS at certain stores. You can find these series, except "Batman", at a local video store. They are in either one season, or the complete series. May the series bring back memories and enjoyment for the family for years to come.
Thursday, July 3, 2014
there have been many game shows shown over the years, but few are still are still on the on the air. Some of my favorites are The Price is Right, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. On the Price is Right, people are called to ''Come on down'' to contestant row to win a certain prize. Then if the bid is lower then the actual price, they win the prize and to come on stage to play a pricing game for even another prize, like a trip or even a car or cash. After that they get to spin '' The big wheel'' for a chance to go to even bigger prizes at the end of the show. Even though ''Deal or No Deal'' is no longer on the air, the contestant could win one of 26 cases containing various amounts from one penny to one million dollars. They have to be careful because of the one who is called '' The Banker''. He wants to buy back the case for a certain amount of money. After each round, he will try again till the end of the game. Then at the end of the game, the contestant wins the amount that is in the case. the value could be any amount between one penny or one million. Jeopardy is a game of questions and answers. The answers come on the board of six different catagories, the contestant must answer it in the form of a question. They go through three rounds, and at the end of the game, the one with the most money wins the game and plays again the next day. Even though there has been many game shows on the air, shows like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right are still going on strong. May they continue to stay on the air, and keep on giving away lots of prizes and lots of money to many other lucky contestants for years to come.

The Doctor and his adventures.
My favorite character is doctor
who. He is a time lord from galifrey. He travels in a craft called
a tardis which is short for time and relative dimension in space. He
has traveled with many companions from Susan to Leela to Romana to
Amy Pond. He has also gone through many changes, known as
regenerations. So far he has gone through eleven changes. Eleven
people have played the character from William Hartnell to Tom Baker
to David Tennant to the newest one, Peter Capaldi. When his body
wears out from injury, he can regenerate in a new body. He has
fought many aliens, like daleks and Cybermen and another Timelord
known as the Master, who is his main advesary. Although he has been
on many adventures, 100 or so episodes are still missing or no longer
available to be seen again on video. Even after 50 years and over
250 adventures, the question is how much longer can The Doctor and
his companions save the Earth and the universe, even though he has
two lives left to go. As long as he is out saving the universe and
Earth, we all can assured that we are all safe, weither we are in
the present, the past, or in the future, we are good hands with the
Doctor.
