Saving the shows

                                              Every year there are shows that are on the bubble.  This year is no exception.  There are shows that need to be saved from the chopping block.  The five networks will have to decide which shows will stay or go.                                                                                                                                             The choice may have already been determined for some of the shows.  In fact, some of the shows may be coming back next season.  Shows like "C.S.I." and "Castle" are most likely to return next season.  Some fans may be happy to see their shows coming back when the new schedules come out soon.                                                                                                                                                                  There are other shows that may or may not be out in the fall.  They are on the bubble.  Shows like "Forever" and "Battle Creek" have a slim chance of coming back next season.  But then there are have been already been canceled.  Shows like "Selfie" and "The Millers" have already been taken off the schedule.  What a way to go.                                                                                                                When the new fall schedule comes out, there will be some changes in the schedules.  Some shows will stay on the air.  Some shows may be off the air.  Whatever the case, it will be up to the networks to decide.  Because we will find out which shows may it to the fall schedule and which ones are gone.

James Bond Movies

                                              Ever since 1962, Bond films have been a fan favorite for over fifty years.  There have been twenty-three movies made.  Six actors have played the famous character in the movies.  Movie goers have been waiting for the next Bond movie to come out when the previous one ends.                                                                                                                                                                                                         The first actor to play bond was Sean Connery.  He did six bond films.  From "Dr. No" to "Diamonds are Forever", Connery was Bond.  Then came George Lazenby.  He only did "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".  Then came Roger Moore.  He did from "Live and Let Die" to "A View to a Kill".                                                                                                                                                                       After that comes Timothy Dalton.  He did two films, "The Living Daylights" and "Licence to Kill".  Next comes Pierce Brosnan.  The Bond films he did was from "Goldeneye" to "Die Another Day".  Now we have Daniel Craig.  So far he has done three Bond films.  From "Casino Royale" to "Skyfall".  In November the fourth will be out.  The name of the film is titled "Spectre".                                                                                                                                                                                Bond films have been out for decades.  Movie goers have been watching him saving the world for a long time.  Long live James Bond.  As the end credits have been saying for years, "James Bond will return".  The world will always be safe as long as he is around.

Television show spinoffs

                                              What could possibly happen if a show does well in the ratings?  It might get a spinoff series.  There are show that have it happening now.  It does not matter if it is a crime drama or a comedy.  Spin-offs are a main stay on any particular network.   The possibilities are limitless when it comes to spin-offs.                                                                                                                                                         One of the shows that a spin-off right now is "C.S.I."   The show is called "C.S.I. Cyber".  It is about a team of agents that investigates crimes that starts in the cyber world.  Those crimes end up in the real world.  The show stars Patricia Arquette as the leader of the team.  The graphics on the show are amazing.                                                                                                                                         A show that is coming to television this fall is called "Chicago Med".  It is a spin-off of the series "Chicago Fire".  The show will star S. Epatha Merkerson and Oliver Platt.  We all got a sneak peek of the show on April seventh episode of "Chicago Fire".  What a way to be introduce to viewing public.                                                                                                                                                                 Spin-offs have always been a main stay in the world of television.  It does not matter which network the hit television show is on.  If a show is successful, there is a possibility a spin-off will not be two far behind.  Spin-off always continues the franchise.  So continue to bring on the spin-offs for a long time to come.

NCAA tournament

                                                   It is time of the year again.  March Madness is upon us.  The teams will be playing for the chance to become national champions.  For the next three weekends the teams will go from sixty-eight to the winner of the tournament.  So be ready for what they call "March Madness".                                                                                                                                                                                                      The first weekend the teams go from sixty-eight to sixty-four on Tuesday.  Then on Thursday and Friday, they go from sixty-four to thirty-two.  On Saturday and Sunday, those teams play to see who goes to the "Sweet Sixteen".  It is going to get crazier to see which team remain after that weekend.                                                                                                                                                         Those who remain will play the next Thursday and Friday to head to the "Elite Eight".  That will be played on Saturday and Sunday.  Those games will result in finding out who plays the next Saturday in the "Final Four".  After that game, the two that remain will play for the National Title.  The games are getting down to the wire.                                                                                                                    On Monday, April Sixth, the championship game will be play to find out who is the National Champion.  The teams are ready to play.  The games are about to start.  May the best team win.  It is going to be an interesting year.  Hopefully one will be crown "National Champs".            

It is free agent time in the NFL.

                                          It is that time of year again.  Time for football players to be traded or to be signed by other teams.  This year is no different.  We are seeing some big name players on their new teams.  Whether they are are offensive players like wide receivers.  Even those who play defensively like linebackers will be on other teams.  Trades make big news in the National Football League.                                                      Certain player that have been traded or signed on by other teams include tight-end Jimmy Graham.  He is moving from New Orleans Saints to the Seattle Seahawks.  Another player that is moving on is Sam Bradford.  He is traded from the St. Louis Rams to the Philadelphia Eagles for Nick Foles.  Those are big trades by certain teams.                                                                                                            Other players that have moved on that are not as well known are like Shane Vereen.  He played for the New England Patriots.  He will play this year for the New York Giants.  There are others like Julius Thomas that are looking for other teams.  While others like Owen Daniels that will now play for the Denver Broncos.                                                                                                                             There are still others that will retiring this year.  Players like Patrick Willis.  He played for the San Francisco 49ers.  Even quarterbacks like Jake Locker will retire this year.  He played for the Tennessee Titans.  This has been another amazing year for free agents.  May they play well for their new teams.

Spring is coming.

                                               We are a few weeks away from spring.  It is time of year when the weather is changing. The temperatures is going to be warmer.  We will be able to put away our heavy coats and gloves. The trees will be able to have their new leaves.  It will be a refreshing change of pace for all of us.                                                                                                                                                                                       Spring is the time when we will be able to get out and spend more time outside.  We will get out the bicycles, skateboards, roller blades and other items.  Other items might include motorcycles and ATVs.  So let us have some fun this season.  It is time to play outdoors.                                                          We can also put away the winter items as well.  Things like skies, snow boards and snow boots.  Those items need to put away for now.  They have been out for months.  It is time to give them a break and let them relax.  The winter months are finally over for a few months.                                                                                                                                                                                               Spring is ready to arrive.  Are you ready to get outdoors?  It is about time we get out and enjoy the weather.  It has been a crazy winter.  Hopefully we are glad to see it go. So get ready for spring.  It is only a few weeks away.  So have fun this spring and enjoy every moment.  There will be a lot of enjoyable moment to get out and play.

Old verses new.

                                            Times are changing.  Items that we are use to are changing with the times.  The items we have are phasing out.  New item are taking the place of those items.  From the cars we drive to the phones we carry with us if we need to call for in certain circumstances.  Technology is changing with the times.                                                                                                                                                                       The cars we drive are changing every year.  Now days we have blue tooth technology.  So if some one call us or if we get into a accident,  we are able to get in touch with someone.  We will be able to see behind us if we get out of a parking space using a camera that on the back of the car.  When we do not know where we are going, we have a GPS system to help find our way around town.  What concepts we have now days.                                                                                                                    Phones have changed a lot over the years.  We can use them to surf the internet using Wi-Fi system.  You can also text people.  You can play games on your phone.  You can also get your G-mail on your phone.  It is amazing what you can do on you phone now days.  It is amazing how advanced the phone has gotten over the years.                                                                                                               Technology continues to change.  The phone we use have changed a lot over the years.  Cars we drive continue to change with the times as well.  We will have to see what will coming out as the days and years go by.  There will always be advances in technology.  We may be amazed to see what is coming out soon.

Series ending shows.

                                                  It is a sad day to fans of certain shows to see them end.  The shows might have been on for years.  But when a show has been on a long time, it is time to call it a series as it were.  The shows will still have a place in people hearts and on certain television stations.                                                             One of those shows calling it a series is called "Two and a half men."  The show has been for twelve seasons.  The show is about a rich playboy played by Charlie Sheen.  He took in his brother played by Jon Cryer.  He also took in the son played by Angus T. Jones.  All who have seen the show have followed their exploits for the years it has been on.  The show had on also Ashton Kutcher who replaced Charlie Sheen.                                                                                                                                      Another show that is leaving the air waves is called "The Mentalist".  The show is about a man who can read a person by a person by his facial or body movements.  The show has been on for seven seasons.  The show stars Simon Baker.  He helped the California Bureau of Investigations to solve crimes.  What a way to go out by having a wedding.                                                                                         We all hate to see a show leave the air.  The show will still be on the air somewhere.  Whether on a cable channel or a local channel it will still be on the air.  We may even find out on DVD in certain stores.  What ever the case, those shows will still be out there.  The shows will still be out there to entertain us for years to come.

MLB schedules for 2015

                                   It is february already.  The schedules for the 2015 MLB season are now out for all to see.  We all get to see who plays who during 2015 baseball year.  We also find out which American league team plays a National league team during the baseball season.  So are we ready for some baseball this year?                                                                                                                                                                 The American League teams may play other at a particular ball park.  They are going to play a National League at their own park or on the road.  We may see them play a two, three or four game series at that time of the season.  It is going to be some great games this coming year.                                        The National League may play one of their own division.  They will play one of the other divisions in their league.  They will also play one of the American League teams.  They will play them either on the road or at their own ball park.  So get ready to find out which teams play each other and where the play the series.                                                                                                                                               It is still early in the year.  But the games are set.  So the question is "Are we ready for some baseball?"  Be ready for another exciting season.  The boys of summer are getting ready to play.  It is time to play ball again for another exciting season.  So let us cheer on our favorite team to victory.                                                                                                                                                                            

Television Ratings

                                        It is that time of the week again.  The television ratings are out.  The ratings are out to find out which had good ratings. They also tell you which ones did not not do so well that particular week.  Rating can tell which show make it through the remaining weeks of the season.  New shows are introduce at the start of the season.  Ratings become a factor if a show makes it or not.                                                                                                                                                                                                     On Wednesday, the USA TODAY newspaper comes out with the ratings for the week.  From Monday of the previous week till Sunday, the paper tells you at what time the show started.  It also tells you how many millions of people watch that show on a particular night of the week.  It tells you on what network the show was on at the time.                                                                                                      The paper also tells you how they rank according to the Nielson Rankings.  They also tell how the network ranked for the week ending on a particular Sunday of the week.  It also tells you what top ten show on the cable networks did that particular week.  Even the cable network the shows was on get a mention in the paper.                                                                                                                      Whether the show is just starting or coming to a end of it's run.  Ratings play a factor on how well the show does.  Rating also play a factor on how well a special does.  Because you never know if a show will do well or gets canceled.  The show might even get picked up by one of the cable networks.  Ratings are a crusial part of a show run on a major network.

And the award goes to...

                                 It is that time of the year again for award shows.  We will find out who will win an award for what ever they are nominated for.  Whether it is an emmy or a grammy, some one will win an award for what they are best at.  We, the viewer, will find out when they are announced on television on a certain night.                                                                                                                                                      The Grammys are awards for who is best in music.  There is different catagories in the field of music.  There is best new artist, best song, and best album of the year.  Each catagory will have five nominees in each of them.  Only one will win in each of the catagories.  It will be interesting to see who will win on music biggest night.                                                                                                            The Emmy awards are television.  Whether it is for best new show, best actor or actress, there is an award for that.  It could be even for best supporting actor or actress in any show.  It is going to be a star studded evening for every one involved.  Good luck to all nominees.                                                    It is going to be a fun evening for all.  We will find out who wins on that particular evening.  There will be many catagories presented.  May the best nominee win.  The night of the awards will be exciting to watch for all to watch and be entertained by.

Detectives on Television

                                        There have been many detectives shows on television over the years.  From the 1970's to resently detectives show have been on to entertain every one.  Some have had made people use the mind to solve the crime before the detectives do.  Other made people laugh at certain times.  Here are a few examples of those detective shows.                                                                                                                The show "The Rockford Files" was shown in the 1970's.  The show starred James Garner.  Rockford lived a trailer in a parking lot.  He would solve crimes with a style all his own.  Can you imagine how cool you look if you lived like that.                                                                                                       Another show is "Elementary" is a good show to watch.  The Holmes character lives in the modern time.  He uses his intelligence to help the New York police department to solve all sorts of crimes.  It did not matter what kind of crime it was.  Holmes was there to help solve the crime.                                                                                                                                                                                   It does not matter what kind of detective you like to watch.  It also may or may be the actor or actress who portrays the character.  It is up to you the viewer to sit back and enjoy the shows.  The question will always be "Can you solve the crime before the end of the show?"

Heading for the Super Bowl

                                     It is that time of the year.  When the teams from the AFC and the NFC play for their championship.  The winners will go on to the Super Bowl.  This year is no different.  Who will the NFC and AFC championship games?  We will find out on this up coming Sunday.  The winners will head on to Super Bowl.                                                                                                                                              The AFC will have two teams to represent them.  One of the teams is the New England Patroits.  The other team is the Indianapolis Colts.  The winner of that game will face the winner of the NFC championship game in two weeks.  It should be a great match-up of those two teams.                                                                                                                                                                                                The NFC will also have two teams to represent them as well.  One of their representatives is the Seattle Seahawks.  The other is the Green Bay Packers.  One of those two teams will face the winner of the AFC in the Super Bowl on the first of Febuary.                                                                                   Those should be two great games on this comming Sunday.  Who will win these upcoming games?  We will find out on Championship Sunday.  Hopefully the winners will be crowned. Then they will be able to move to the Super Bowl.  May the best teams win this upcomming Sunday.

Baseball hall of fame inductees for 2015

                                    The word is out.  A brand new select group are going to the Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.  Three pitchers and a second baseman are the ones who are going to make it in.  Here are the new Hall of Famers.  They deserve to go in this year.                                                                                                        Randy Johnson could strike you out by standing over you when he pitched on the mound.  He played for the Seattle Mariners and the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Pedro Martinez was also a great pitcher.  He played for the Boston Red Soxs.  He had impressive numbers during his years in baseball.  John Smoltz had great years when he pitched in baseball.  For the Atlanta Braves, he was a starting pitcher and a reliever during his time in baseball.                                                                                             Let us not forget the only second baseman.  His name is Craig Biggio.  He played for the Houston Astroes.  He had over three thousand hits and over four hundred steals in his career.  His records made him a candidate for the Hall of Fame.                                                                                                So congradulations to all of the inductees who made it in.  So the next time any one who loves the game of baseball, go see the Hall of Fame.  Get a chance to see all of exhibits.  See all of the players through out the eras.  See their stats when they played.  Way to go and congradulations to the inductees of 2015.

New years parades

                          Another year has come.  Which means it is time to see another New Years Day parade.  The parade is full of floats filled with flowers.  More marching bands coming down the street.  What a specticle to see on television.  Even being there to see them is such a sight to see from anywhere along the parade route.                                                                                                                                           The floats are amazing to see.  The amount of time they took to make them is such amazing amount of effort.  The amount of flowers to make them to show case is absolutely incredible.  Even those who won an award and move with precision is sight to see.  If you have never seen the floats, you are missing the most incredible display of floats.                                                                              The marching bands are also part of the parades.  From all over the country they come to play their hearts out.  How many people makeup the band is unbelievable. As they stay in step tells you how long they have been getting ready.  They indeed stay in precision through out the entire parade route when they play the theme music to the school they attend.                                                                           So as January first comes around, get ready for the exciting parade of floats.  Be ready for the marching bands to play for the spectators.  For those who watch them, they are in for a treat.  The floats and marching bands are a pretty sight of displays.  So be amazed when you see the parade.  So get ready for next years parade and enjoy the displays.
