Television Ratings
It is that time of the week again. The television ratings are out. The ratings are out to find out which had good ratings. They also tell you which ones did not not do so well that particular week. Rating can tell which show make it through the remaining weeks of the season. New shows are introduce at the start of the season. Ratings become a factor if a show makes it or not. On Wednesday, the USA TODAY newspaper comes out with the ratings for the week. From Monday of the previous week till Sunday, the paper tells you at what time the show started. It also tells you how many millions of people watch that show on a particular night of the week. It tells you on what network the show was on at the time. The paper also tells you how they rank according to the Nielson Rankings. They also tell how the network ranked for the week ending on a particular Sunday of the week. It also tells you what top ten show on the cable networks did that particular week. Even the cable network the shows was on get a mention in the paper. Whether the show is just starting or coming to a end of it's run. Ratings play a factor on how well the show does. Rating also play a factor on how well a special does. Because you never know if a show will do well or gets canceled. The show might even get picked up by one of the cable networks. Ratings are a crusial part of a show run on a major network.
